Spain by Numbers

About Spain by Numbers

Spain by Numbers is a small, independent site run from Valencia, Spain. It answers the questions people ask before moving to Spain from the United States or the United Kingdom with the figure that actually decides the answer: how much income a visa asks for, how much tax you would pay, what a month costs in a given city.

Most of what is written about moving to Spain repeats numbers that changed years ago. The minimum wage and the IPREM index, which set the income bar for the main visas, are revised by decree, and tax rules move with each budget. We take every figure from the source that sets it, usually the Spanish Official Gazette (BOE), and link to it so you can check it yourself.

What we are not

We are not lawyers, tax advisers or an immigration agency, and we do not sell visa services. Use the site to understand the rules and plan; for your own application, confirm with the consulate that handles your case or a qualified professional.

How the site is funded
