How much income does your visa ask for?

Non-lucrative visa

€2,400/month

€28,800 a year in savings or passive income

400% of IPREM (€600) + 100% per family member · RD 1155/2024, art. 62

Digital nomad visa

€2,442/month

€29,304 a year from remote work, as the Washington consulate states it

Safe target: €2,849/month. Some advisers spread the minimum wage's 14 payments over 12 months; showing this much covers both readings.

200% of the minimum wage (€1,221 a month in 2026) + 75% first family member, 25% each extra · Ley 14/2013, art. 74 bis

Dollar and pound amounts use the European Central Bank reference rate of 6 Oct 2026. Consulates assess the euro figure.

Which one applies to you?

The non-lucrative visa is for people who will not work in Spain: retirees and anyone living off savings, pensions or investments. You prove the yearly amount with bank statements or regular income. The digital nomad visa is for people who keep working remotely for clients or an employer outside Spain, and you prove the monthly amount with contracts and payslips or invoices.
